Position Description


Job Purpose
The Field Sales Representative is responsible for achieving territory sales volume and profitability goals. He/she will oversee the day-to-day output from the territory including: maximizing store sales and an adequate product mix, shifting sales volumes to higher end and focus products in order to achieve higher profitability of the retail sales lines, including DAS, NAS and accessories and ensuring Seagate's strategy is implemented within the assigned territory. The successful candidate will also provide a high level of customer service for the associate and store managers, identifying potential sales opportunities at a local level and developing relationships with Managers and District Managers and VPs to influence the sale of the Seagate Brand over the competition. Finally, he/she will identify unique opportunities to maximize sales within the territory that might include the design and execution of incentive programs, cross-merchandising strategies and off-shelf positioning. This is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure and learn about the retail business. We expect the candidates in this position to develop into a leadership role within 2 years.

Responsibilities
- Implementing high quality training presentations and mentoring store sales associates, being a brand advocate and influencing brand preference for Seagate products with store personnel and management and increasing brand representation and effectiveness through establishing and maintain trade relationships
- Identifying trends and opportunities, creating a supportive selling environment within the territory and ensuring Seagate product presentation in store is accurate.
- Managing product lifecycle within assigned territory to comply with overall account strategy. Ensure new products are set up and launched, promotions are executed and end of life products move out effectively.
- Managing in-store merchandising , signage and obtaining favorable or additional shelf placements. Minimizing out-of-stock situation and securing high traffic shelf placements
- Reporting store level information such as trainings performed, in-stock levels, plan-o-gram compliance and competitive activity.

- Serving as a point for escalation for customer issues and as the liaison between the stores and Seagate, ensuring timely and appropriate resolution of customer issues

- Assessing program effectiveness and making recommendations for improvement


Requirements

You must understand technology and technology trends and be able to introduce new product concepts or innovative uses to the sales associates, managers and customers. Outstanding presentation skills are required, along with written and oral communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

You must be prepare to travel locally and occasionally nationally and cover a territory of about 100 stores, managing the frequency of store coverage

For successful performance in this position, the candidate will possess a bachelor degree, drive and focus to achieve sales goals, be self- motivated, articulate and energetic. The candidate must also be willing to work on a flexible work schedule, including weekends; and be highly organized.

Physical Requirements:
You must be prepared to travel, drive, and engage in considerable physical activity.

Education Required:
A college degree is required. Retailing, marketing, or business degrees are preferred.

This is a 6 Month Contract assignment with the possibility to go permanent.

The locations we are looking for qualified candidates are: Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Orlando, Washington DC and Seattle.
