Position Description
Deloitte & Touche LLP
Audit Manager position available in Boston, MA. Oversee day-to-day operations of mult engagements. Manage legal, regulatory, & acctg issues that arise during audit engagements. Supervise staff & manage services to clients to ensure audit compliance, incl. prep of audit strategy & business proposals, setting & monitoring budgets, scheduling audits, selecting staff & assigning workloads, & fin’l statement reporting. Mentor & motivate engagement staff & provide them w/ counseling & career guidance. Assist w/ overall project mgmt for audit engagements. Prepare project proposals for engagements & ensure acctg & auditing services are delivered per client reqs & industry standards. Manage & prepare consolidated int’l reports. Serve as managing supervisor for sr. & staff accountants. Position requires Bach or foreign equiv in Acctg, Fin, Econ, Business Admin or rel + 4 yrs exp in job offered or as Audit Sr, Audit In Charge, Audit Staff, or rel. 4 yrs exp must include managing legal, regulatory, & accounting issues during audit engagements; US GAAP; US GAAS; Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX); fin’l statement reports; SEC regs; audit compliance; & complex accounting research. Position also requires at least 3 yrs exp w/ supervision & mentoring of staff & prep of audit strategy, proposal & budgets. Emp will accept Master’s degree in stated field in lieu of Bach degree. Any suitable combo edu, training, or exp is acceptable. M-F, 40 hrs/wk. Competitive salary & benefits packages.
